Jewel Noll

Jewel Noll (b. 1983)

“My interests derive from the communal relationships that layers offer to one another in a natural environment. The dialog found in a garden, the forest’s canopy, and the turning of the seasons all exist visually through light, layers and fellowship to one another. Through the juxtaposition of translucent layers and organic images, I am striving to elaborate on the symbiotic interactions cycling throughout simple communities.”

Educated at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, Jewel Noll received her B.F.A in printmaking, and is in the process of receiving her masters from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  A self-described Abstrast Expressionalist, Noll uses the screenprinting process to create uniquely personal designs inspired by the woodlands of her homestate, Wisconsin, that have been gained nationwide recognition.

Her work can be found in the Sereina Meloit private collection, Team Schierl Companies, Faulconer Galler at Grinnell College in Iowa, the Edna Carlsten Gallery and the Works on Paper Archives in the Department of Art and Design at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, and the permanent archives of the Mid-America Print Council’s exchange portfolio at UNL.
