L. Kent Wolgamott: Birds, flowers fill skies of Jenny Kruger landscapes

Repeating patterns of birds and flowers fill the skies above rolling fields and bright red barns in the paintings of Jenny Kruger. On view in her Kiechel Fine Arts exhibition “Revisions of Home,” the paintings are unquestionably landscapes, but they’re clearly not representational.

Rather, they are the views of an artist who has lived in Nebraska since 2013, reflecting on her new home through the prism of her life history.
