“What’s an NFT and why do they matter?”
A conversation with artist Michael Burton at Kiechel Fine Art about his current digital art exhibition Floor of the Sky featuring NFT art. A panel of Lincoln-based content creators will discuss NFTs and their relevance in the art market. A demonstration on how to buy cryptocurrency and acquire an NFT will be followed by Q and A with audience members.

Sean Capone – Video Artist – NYC

Sean Capone is an artist working in digital animation, projection installation, and moving-image based public art. Sean has worked extensively in the digital video and animation field for over 20 years, and has developed a wide-ranging body of work across its many aspects: film & TV, video games, music videos, gallery and museum exhibitions, festival presentations, event and stage scenography, and site-specific public art installations.

 

Jesse Fleming – Multi Sensory Interdisciplinary Artist – UNL

Jesse Fleming is the founding director of the Perceptual Technologies Lab at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts. As a multi-sensory and interdisciplinary artist, researcher, and educator he focuses on tools, experiences, and artworks as vehicles for self awareness, discovery, and interconnection.

 

Scott Henderson – Early-Stage Startup Investor 

A human spark plug with the demonstrated ability to galvanize communities through imaginative game plans. Focused on helping entrepreneurs reach their full potential by developing their talents and leveraging high-value networks. Gallup-Certified Strengths coach.

 

Katie Anania – Art Historian – UNL

Katie Anania specializes in modern and contemporary art of the Americas, with a focus on environmental art history, feminism, and queer theory. Widely published on twentieth-century drawing. Her current book project, Out of Paper: Drawing, Environment, and the Body in 1960s America, examines the shifting position of drawing in American studio practice in the long 1960s.
