From 1834 until 1907, the print shop known as “Currier & Ives” produced in excess of 1 million lithographs which included more than 7500 different titles. The printmaking firm was headed by Nathaniel Currier (1813-1888) and James Merritt Ives (1824-1895) based in New York City from 1834 to 1907.
